University’s Bee Campus USA is abuzz with new growth

Since becoming a certified Bee Campus USA this year, the University of Rochester Bee Campus Committee has been busy as, well, bees! This week, group installed a new pollinator garden in collaboration with University Horticulture and Grounds. Located at 430 Elmwood Avenue, this newest installation on campus includes flowers native to this region which helps establish habitat for pollinators.

In addition to building the next pollinator garden, Bee Campus organizers are recruiting new members to join their committee for the upcoming academic year. Anyone interested in joining the committee can fill out this interest form. Since founding member Zoe Bross graduated in May, committee leadership is transitioning this summer to the new chairperson, Sahara Walto.
