URMC’s Dye Lab members, under the direction of Tim Dye, have radically transformed how they use paper and plastic over the last year and a half. The lab has transitioned to cloth kitchen towels plus real plates, bowls, cups, and flatware. As a group, they often eat together and invite others to join them, which allows them to model the use of sustainable dishware at work. With all the upcoming holiday parties, ’tis the season for following the Dye Lab’s example in all of our offices!
