Bee Day 2018

Buzz buzz. It’s time for Dining Team Green’s annual Bee Day event! Every year, Dining Team Green hosts our annual Bee Day to raise awareness for declining bee populations. This year we’ll be raising money for Sweet Beez, Inc., a non-profit organization that works with the Rochester community to increase local bee populations. Through tactics such as educating communities, they promote policies that benefit bees in the face of disruptive climate change.

Do you want to show you love bees as much as we do? Stop by our table on the second floor of Wilson Commons and pick up one of our adorable Bee Kind pins for a minimum donation of $1. 100% of the donations will go directly to Sweet Beez, Inc., which means your participation in Bee Day will go towards helping increase local bee populations. We’ll be tabling from April 23rd to April 25th so stop by and take a picture in front of our honeycomb photobooth.

Our final treat for Bee Day? A delicious Bee Dinner hosted at Danforth Dining Hall on April 25th! This dinner will feature an array of meals made possible by bee pollination as well as ingredients from local sources to support Local Foods Week. Get your pins and wear them to our Bee Dinner to show your love and support for bees!
