now-hiringHey University of Rochester students! Do you have an interest in sustainability? Are you looking for an employment opportunity? If so, you’re in luck, since both Team Greens are hiring!

Dining’s Team Green is a small group of motivated students employed by Dining Services and Auxiliary Operations to improve sustainability initiatives and practices and serve as a liaison between students and Dining Services. They are hiring two Sustainability Coordinators and two Sustainability Marketing Interns to add to their group.

The sustainability coordinators will assist in evaluations and improvements of Dining Services’ and Auxiliary Services’ recycling, composting, and sustainability food programs, as well as with the preliminary research and proposals required for the creation of new programs. This person will also serve as a liaison between management and customers, students, and parents, and provide the resources to promote a more effective collaborative environment for all parties.

The sustainability marketing interns will assist with marketing Dining Services’ and Auxiliary Services’ recycling, composting, sustainability food programs and increasing awareness of these diversified offerings at the Dining Service locations. They will also help with designing and promoting marketing initiatives through various media outlets such as print material design, website management, andvideo editing.

 The University Facilities Team Green also has hiring opportunities for a new sustainability marketing intern and a sustainability writer. The writer position is available for the summer as well.

The writer will be in charge of assisting the Recycling Coordinator and the Director of Support Operations with marketing Facilities’ recycling and sustainability programs and increasing public awareness of these programs. They will also assist with marketing plan development, execution, and promotions. The writer will be responsible for writing bi-weekly Go Green articles to appear in the Green Dandelion.

 The marketing intern will work on marketing Facilities’ recycling and sustainability programs and increasing public awareness of these programs. Their job will include designing promotional and advertising material for sustainability related campus events and programs, and helping to coordinate and participate in exciting sustainability related events on campus, such as RecycleMania and Earth Day.
