OSC Rochester Kick-Off Event Explores Sustainable Development Goals

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals are a call to action that form a pathway to peace and prosperity for people, the planet, and future generations. This week, leaders from around the world convene in New York for the SDG Summit 2023 where progress toward these goals accelerate.

For those of us who can’t attend the Summit, we are fortunate to have a taste of that knowledge-sharing on Monday, September 25, with a special kick-off event for the newly-formed Open Scholarship Community Rochester. This event welcomes Dr. Ana Peršić from the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) who will discuss the role of open science practices and values in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals. The event is held in-person and online from 10:00am – 11:00am in Humanities Center conference room D.
