Farewell to our Green Reps Program Coordinator, Sherin George

Our Green Reps Program Coordinator, Sherin George, has been with us for five years as she worked on her doctorate at the Warner School. Now that she has wrapped up her data collection and is focusing on writing her dissertation, the working group wanted to send her off with a proper goodbye. Thanks so much, Sherin, for all of your hard work!

“It has been a pleasure to work with Sherin as a member of the Green Reps. Sherin’s knowledge and enthusiasm for a broad array of sustainability topics was truly inspiring. She’ll be missed.”

– Clayton Cox

“A truly great coworker is hard to find…difficult to part with, and impossible to forget. Sherin is all of these things and more. I wish her all the best as she navigates the next chapter of her life. She will be missed!”

– Sandy Gasserlick

“When I joined the Green Reps working group, I knew little about the group and none of its members; in fact, the only thing I did know was that I wanted to support UR’s sustainability efforts. At the first meeting I attended—and every email and meeting thereafter—Sherin set the group’s friendly, welcoming tone. I’m grateful to Sherin for guiding the group all these years, for her willingness to listen to my ideas and feedback, for her kindness and enthusiasm, and her commitment to our shared work. I wish you well, friend, wherever your path may lead.”

– Jeff Jones

“How lucky I was to find Sherin, dedicated to leading the Green Reps for the past five years! She worked to bring interesting and thought-provoking topics to the Compost and brought in her passion for social justice, making sure to include ties to climate justice and topics like wellness that promote human beings living and thriving in harmony with the planet and each other. While it’s so bittersweet to see her move on, I am thrilled to see what she does next to make the world a better place!”

– Amy Kadrie

“In the short time I’ve been part of the working group and getting to know Sherin – through the meetings, and the quarterly events, it has been an absolute pleasure! She’s an amazing human being with a great sense of humor, who I know will go on to do great things. Sherin, thank you SO MUCH for all that you’ve done for the Green Reps. Good luck in your future endeavors! I’ll miss you!”
