Clay’s Corner

Yikes, 2010 is winding down FAST. Have you all finished your holiday shopping yet? I, um haven’t sooooooooooooooooo in the interest of bringing you the best in earth friendly blogging, let’s see what we can do to get those last minute gifts out of the way in an eco-cuddly manner. Of course, all my buds who recently celebrated Hanukah should maybe forgive me this year for my tardiness. Thanks 🙂

Just doing a random Google-search, I found these companies (disclaimer- I don’t endorse any of these web sites and if you decide to purchase, make sure all are verified and secure, okay):

http://www.eco-artware.com/ very cool art. I didn’t know you could do that with chopsticks and traffic signs…..

I chuckled at one of the gifts here: “It’s not re-gifted, it’s recycled”: http://www.gifts.com/ideas/eco-friendly

This one has lots of goodies: http://www.ecofriendlygifts.com/

Of course, “gifts” don’t have to be things. Some of the nicest gifts I’ve ever received were contributions friends made to a favorite charity.  The gift of time is precious too. And there are lots of homeless pets in need of a home. Just a few of the many ways you can open your heart this holiday season.

The Corner’s going to be idle for a couple of weeks. If you are traveling, please be safe. I’d miss you if you weren’t here in 2011. Great things will be happening at the University of Rochester next year. I can’t wait to share with you.

Happy Holidays!
