Did you know? You can recycle blister packaging in Monroe County!

So, what exactly is blister packaging? Good question. Not many people are familiar with its title, but most of us run into blister packaging quite frequently. It’s that clear plastic bubble packaging with a cardboard backing. Usually things like toothbrushes, toys, medicines, electronics, office supplies, and batteries are packaged with it.

Unfortunately, you can’t just toss the entire package into one bin. The clear plastic front pieces go into the plastic/metal/glass stream, and the cardboard backing should be placed in a bin for paper/cardboard. Just separate the materials, and voila! You’re now one step closer to saving the planet.
