This year the New York Association for Reduction Reuse and Recycling (NYSAR3) celebrated 20 years of success in beautiful Cooperstown, NY. The conference featured a luncheon with speeches from the inspiring winners of the Recycler of the Year Awards from the professional community as well as NY Recycles Poster Contest winners from some of New York’s finest students.
Along with a number of very informative sessions with topics varying from food scrap to producer responsibility, the agenda included a session dedicated to school and college recycling. As a member of NYSAR’s College Council, Amy Kadrie shared the experiences and accomplishments of UR to the group. The presentation nicely complimented the other presentations in the session which featured grade school and community college involvement. Participants were engaged and impressed in learning about UR’s many efforts in environmental sustainability. Keep up the good work UR!!
