This past Tuesday, the SPIE President-elect Dr. Glenn Boremann visited the Student Chapter as part of his trip for the Institute of Optics’ spring Industrial Associates event. The Chapter officers, committee chairs, and several student members enjoyed dinner with him at a Rochester favorite, the Dinosaur BBQ.
Dr. Glenn Boremann is Professor and Chair of the Department of Physics and Optical Science, and the Director for the Center for Optoelectronics & Optical Communications at UNC Charlotte. He is an alumni of the University of Rochester Institute of Optics, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree.
