Near-Infrared Spectroscopic Analysis of Human Cerebral Hemodynamicssteveeric_pressteve

The Berger Lab studies spectroscopic diagnostic techniques such as Raman spectroscopy and near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS). Both of these techniques are a valuable diagnostic tool because they allow us to gain information non-invasively using light, rather than reagents or electrodes.  We are specifically using the NIRS method to monitor cerebral activity as well as a method called Corrected NIRS (C-NIRS) which attempts to reduce biological noise in signals. We have also been studying resting hemodynamics as well as programming to create data visualization tools.

Bring your lunch at the talk; we will offer the dessert!
