The UR student chapter of SPIE is calling for submissions for its Student Summer Colloquium series. (For anyone who may not know, SPIE is an international society advancing light-based research.)
If you are interested in giving a talk, please contact urspie@gmail.com. The first 25 submissions will receive a gift voucher valued at $25!
The weekly series is scheduled for 12-1 PM Tuesdays in Goergen 101. Attendees will be encouraged to bring brown-bag lunches and SPIE will provide the speaker and desserts. The format is casual and speakers may choose their length (15min to an hour).
Talks that have been/will be given at a conference are also welcome.
