Please join us in Hutch 316 at 3pm on Friday for EEB seminar. Dr. Katharina Dittmar, an Associate Professor from the University at Buffalo, will present a seminar titled “Evolution and ecology of microbial associates of blood-feeding parasites of bats”.

Please join us today for EEB seminar at 3pm in HH 316. Longjun Wu, a graduate student in Dave Lambert’s lab at the University of Rochester, will be presenting a talk titled “Ancient origin of a Mollusc sex pheromone via lateral gene transfer”.

Dr. Ellen Martinson will present a talk titled talk is titled “Microsporidial endochitinase gene recruited as a venom protein in parasitoid wasps” at 3pm in HH316 on Friday, 12/5. Dr. Martinson earned her Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Arizona working on fig wasps. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Werren lab at the University of Rochester working on the evolution of parasitoid wasp venom.
