Being able to participate in the Community Garden is one of the perks of living in Graduate Housing. For many residents it is their first experience gardening and for the other, more experienced gardeners, they enjoy being able to provide tips and suggestions to the newcomers. The garden season varies depending on weather, but generally falls between early May and late October.
This year was the first year we had designated volunteer roles and look to improve and expand the community garden in the years to come.
If you are interested in registering for a plot in the Community Garden, located at Whipple Park, contact the Graduate Housing office at (585) 276-7875 for more information. You must be a leaseholder to register for a plot. These spaces are for gardening only and not storage spaces.
