Celebrate National Rideshare Month by getting to work and around town in a shared transportation mode – like bike sharing. Grab a HOPR bike and pedal your way around campus and beyond. The University partners with the City of Rochester to host five HOPR bike stations across the University so you can bike to that meeting or class, or ride to lunch, instead of taking your car.
The blue HOPR bikes may be rented and located through a smartphone app. HOPR offers pay-as-you-go options, as well as single-day and monthly passes to rent a bike. For riders using pay-as-you-go, the cost is $1 to unlock a bike and 15 cents per minute of riding.
HOPR Bike Share is a fun and low carbon way to commute or just get some exercise. After you get where you’re going, simply return the bike or e-scooter to the nearest drop-off point. For questions visit the FAQ.
Looking for a biking partner? The University partners with 511NY to offer a ridesharing portal with a Bike Buddy matching tool.
New Rochester Biking Map: Reconnect Rochester has just published a new biking map of the City of Rochester. Use the map to find suggested routes and see the locations of bike trails.
