The importance of our impact

Many people tend to feel like their actions and attempts to be sustainable have little to no impact. I toxic thought that can lead to these attempts ending. It is important to remember that everyone’s actions count and have an impact, and here is why.

Firstly, if everyone had this thought and therefore gave up their sustainable acts, no one would be making an effort meaning that no improvement would be made. As much as it can be difficult to remember sometimes, your actions make an impact, and it is important to remember that other people are putting in an effort too, so you are in this together, and together you make a big impact.

Secondly, your efforts have an impact in and of themselves. Over time, reducing waste, pollution, overall environmental impact, etc. accumulate to a large amount of reduction. So imagine how much you have accomplished, especially over time.

Lastly, but yet so important, you have an influence on others. Your persistence and ability to make an impact can influence others to attempt the same, leading to them becoming persistent contributors and influencers.

Your actions have consequences, so try to use them to make positive consequences for our planet.
