5 Environmental Songs to Add to Your Playlist

Music is such a powerful communication tool. It connects individuals and sets the mood for any occasion. As a universal language, music can send powerful messages. Here are a few songs to add to your playlist to help motivate yourself and those around you to live more sustainably.

1. Waiting on The World to Change – John Mayer

John Mayer’s song questions whether people are willing to sit and watch our world change.

2. Earth Song – Michael Jackson

This song focuses on animals and the environment, eventually winning the 1995 Doris Day Award.

3. Wake Up America – Miley Cyrus

This song encourages everyone to come together to take care of the world.

4. Down to Earth – Peter Gabriel

Known as the theme song for Pixar movie Wall-E, this song emphasizes the importance of our responsibility to be sustainable and care for our planet.

5. Feels Like Summer – Childish Gambino

This song addresses many issues affecting the world today including climate change, bee populations, and overpopulation.

These are just a few of my personal favorites, but there are definitely many other songs that address environmentalism and advocate for change. Feel free to share other songs by commenting below.
