Sara Miller, a University spokesperson and participant in our April Dash for Trash event. Sara (and her daughter) helped to collect litter across the campus on a blustery Spring day.
Reflecting on her experience, Sara states, “Participating in the Dash for Trash was a really great experience for both me and my daughter. With River Campus being home to so many people and so much activity, it’s impossible to keep it 100% litter-free, but it felt good to play a part in cleaning up the campus for the afternoon. And I think it helped show my daughter the importance of not ever littering even tiny paper or plastic items.”
