Celebrate Earth Day by helping to keep our campus clean! The Dash for Trash will be happening on Friday, April 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants will check in at the Goergen Athletic Center to receive gloves and compostable bags to collect trash and recyclables while walking, jogging, or running across campus. There will be a raffle and a weigh-in station for collections. The locker rooms and showers will be available to all participants and water bottles will be given away on a first come first served basis. All University of Rochester students and employees are welcome to stop in at any time during the event, but please email the Green Reps to register in advance. In addition to the trash collection, you can bring used sneakers to be recycled the Nike Reuse a Shoe program. The University has an ongoing collection for sneakers in the Georgen Athletic Center locker rooms and patrons are encouraged to bring their unwanted athletic shoes to the event.
