Attention all University of Rochester students, faculty, staff and employees: the 4th annual Shred Fest is taking place this Friday, July 25th from 7:00 am until 3:00 pm in Park Lot. During this event you are invited to bring your personal documents from home to be securely shredded and recycled. Take advantage of this opportunity to free yourself from your old bills, tax records, receipts, files and folders without the worry of your identity being stolen. Load it all up in your car and we will take it from there to make it easy on you. Simply drive through and our helpful volunteers will unload everything from your car. Material will be placed in locked containers and then shredded onsite in Iron Mountain’s shred truck. You can even witness your documents being shredded via the truck’s camera. You don’t have to worry about rubber bands, paper clips, and staples; they are acceptable. But please no large 3 ring binders, hard cover books, CDs, DVDs, other plastics or hazardous materials of any kind. This event is a win-win for the environment and the protection of your privacy.
