I have some exciting RecycleMania updates to share with our loyal readers!
This Monday, March 3rd, local artist Scott Grove will be hosting a demo session on campus. From 12-1:30 in the 1st floor lounge of Burton, you can come see what recycled water bottle art is all about. He will be showing us how to create beautiful flowers from leftover water bottles!
After your creative juices start flowing, we will be hosting a competition, sponsored by UR Dining’s Team Green and Sigma Delta Tau. There will be a FaceBook photo contest where you can submit pictures of your creations and the photos with the most “likes” will win an awesome prize. There are several different categories, so many options to win!
The final creations will be on display during RecycleMania’s Finale Fair – March 28th from 12-2 in Hirst Lounge. There may even be a special guest casting a vote for his favorite creation!
So join us on Monday, I guarantee it will be fun. You’ll leave with some new ideas and a full belly (free pizza, anyone?).
