My name is Gabi Lipschitz, and I am a rising Sophomore of the class of 2019. I’m planning to double major in Anthropology and Psych, and Minor in Environmental Geology. Above, you can see me paragliding over Cape Town, South Africa, which is my favorite place in the WORLD. Both of my parents are from Cape Town, and I have been fortunate enough to live there. I continue to visit each year, where hiking, surfing, swimming, and, well, jumping off mountains is part of the agenda. I love the outdoors and especially all the creatures that inhabit our natural world. I am a rhino enthusiast- however we don’t get many of these beautiful creatures in Upstate New York. No worries though! Squirrels can be just as fascinating 😉 I cannot wait to go on DAY TREKS this year! I was a trekee last Fall, and I got to go on the Whiteface trip. It was an incredible experience, and I am very grateful that I had such a great group and such knowledgeable leaders to enjoy the trip with. I hope to bring the same amount of enthusiasm and good ol’ fun to this year’s trip as was brought to mine last year!
