Mt. Marcy

Mt. Marcy is New York’s highest peak, reaching 5,344ft, over one mile into the sky! Join five other freshmen and your two upperclassmen leaders, Steph Taylor and Matt Sperr, on this scenic hike. Steph has experience leading the Mt. Marcy trip in the past and Matt is leading for the first time! Two nights of camping at Marcy Dam, lunch at Indian Falls, and constant views of nearby peaks make this a memorable trip. Trekees should be physically capable of hiking five hours on moderate terrain, and previous hiking experience is recommended. NY is about to be your home for the next four years, so there’s no better way to get acquainted than being on top of it all!
