5 Environmental Songs to Add to Your Playlist
Music is such a powerful communication tool. It connects individuals and sets the mood for any occasion. As a universal language, music can send powerful messages. Here are a few songs to add to your playlist to help motivate yourself and those around you to live more sustainably.
1. Waiting on The World to Change – John Mayer
John Mayer’s song questions whether people are willing to sit and watch our world change.
2. Earth Song – Michael Jackson
This song focuses on animals and the environment, eventually winning the 1995 Doris Day Award.
3. Wake Up America – Miley Cyrus
This song encourages everyone to come together to take care of the world.
4. Down to Earth – Peter Gabriel
Known as the theme song for Pixar movie Wall-E, this song emphasizes the importance of our responsibility to be sustainable and care for our planet.
5. Feels Like Summer – Childish Gambino
This song addresses many issues affecting the world today including climate change, bee populations, and overpopulation.
