Help Save the Bees

If you find yourself getting annoyed and swatting away the bees this summer, please be aware that our buzzing friends play an important role in the vitality of this planet. Bees are vital to pollinate both the food we need to survive and many trees and flowers that provide habitats for wildlife. Unfortunately bees are in decline on a global scale as they face many threats, from habitat loss to the use of toxic pesticides. Many of the threats to bees share parallels with the threats to trees and woodland, so saving bees goes hand-in-hand with saving trees. If these threats aren’t brought under control, we could be looking at a future without bees.

What can you do to help bees? You can plant a pollinator garden, get rid of synthetic pesticides and even create a bee bath. Read here for more ideas and details on how you can help.
