Tip to Make Herbs Last Longer

Whether you have an herb garden or are looking for a way to stretch your dollars on the herbs you buy, this tip is for you. To keep fresh herbs fresh:

  1. First trim off the bottoms. If purchased, remove the wire or band that that holds them together.
  2. Place trimmed herbs in a cup or mason jar of cold water.
  3. Put a plastic storage bag over it and store in the fridge.

Change the water if it turns green. This is very simple to do and your herbs will stay fresh for weeks this way. The parsley pictured is a month old and still looks great!
