Student’s Corner

japaneseWith over 3 million people projected to attend the World Cup this year, a lot of trash is expected to be generated. Japanese fans are aware of this, and have cleaned up the stadium after every match of the World Cup. Despite loses, Japanese fans cleaned up after themselves inside the stadium, a practice that has been a tradition for the country. Being respectful of hosts and protecting the environment are two values that the Japanese hold – something that they brought with them to Brazil.

This is a great example for all people attending the largest sporting event in the world. Hopefully, the idea of leaving something in a better condition than when you found it will catch on in more areas of life.
