See What’s New At The Campus Mail Center!

The Campus Mail Center (CMC), formerly known as the Campus Postal Unit (CPU), is the hub for all your postal and shipping needs. Located in the Todd Union Building on the University of Rochester’s River Campus, the CMC offers a wide variety of services and options for you in one centralized location. Full domestic and international mail service thru USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL are now provided at the front customer service window of the CMC. A multi-carrier shipping software provides customers with valuable information such as the best, most cost-effective shipping option, tracking notifications, address verifications and online International customs forms. These improvements are aimed at getting your package to its destination efficiently and securely.

In addition to these services, you will also find various products there, such as, postage stamps, envelopes, boxes, tape rolls, etc…

A new and rather cool product being offered from UPS is a reusable Express envelope. UPS offers a reusable Express envelope with the idea to reduce paper waste. Customers can use the same envelope a second time either to return information to a sender or label it to new recipient. It’s a simple, easy option to be sustainable, even the envelope is made from recycled paper! The envelope is equipped with two adhesive areas making it able to be secured two times.  Fold the envelope down to use the first adhesive, fold the used adhesive again and you’ll see a second adhesive strip that is ready to use.  The simple, straightforward instructions are located right on the package envelope.

At the Campus Mail Center, you will find a variety of reusable items such as cardboard boxes, cardboard sleeves, bubble wrap, packing peanuts, newspaper, paper clips and rubber bands located in our Package Reuse center. As students receive packages they recycle the box and shipping materials in our Package ReUse center bins. A student needing materials can take these supplies; which can be used multiple and even unlimited times.
