Minimize Junk Mail!

Around 100 million trees and 28 billion gallons of water are used to send junk mail to Americans every year, according to greendimes.org.

You can help stop unsolicited mail by registering on the Mail Preference Service on the https://www.directmail.com/directory/mail_preference/

This program is managed by direct marketers who know don’t want to waste their money sending mail to people who don’t want to receive it.

  1. I agree there is a lot of waste of energy and forest material to send junk mail.

I remember them, in the know, stating that once we use computers the need of paper will drop dramatically. Ya right.

One area of a large waste is in sending out phone books from half a dozen different companies.
