Clay’s Corner

October 1, Huh? OCTOBER, FIRST!!!!!! What happened? I think someone may have misplaced August and September. Depending on where you are, this time of the year can be downright beautiful. Fortunately, those of us in the east see the majesty of mama nature in the changing of leaves. If you are not from a place that experiences this magic, please make some plans to do so.  Pictures won’t do it justice and neither will that nifty screensaver. Come visit. We’d love to have you.

Even if you live in areas that stay green all year, we do get cooler (um, those below the equator reading this, it’s opposite day!), so we still need to keep our great sustainable habits in gear. How often are you getting your furnace inspected? Filters replaced? Still using air conditioning? Those units need care, too.

How about that vehicle you drive? Keep taking care of it because sooner or later, you will. Be prepared.

Great habits are great habits. Keep up the good work.

The Corner is off to the great city of Pittsburgh for a conference where I’ll be picking up tips on staying green and how we can continue to find ways to reduce, reuse and recycle. I’ll share my experiences (well, not all) with you next week.
