Our goal is to have over 1,000 members of University of Rochester staff, students, faculty, Medical Center employees and friends take our sustainability pledge. We are almost there. 889 have committed to sustainability through the Go Green! Pledge. Won’t you join us?
It’s easy to feel like you can’t personally make a difference to help the environment. Each of us is part of a much larger University community, consisting of thousands of individuals. Combine those individual efforts with the University’s institutional initiatives, and the result of 1,000 will be a stronger, more sustainable University of Rochester.
The Go Green! Pledge provides suggestions for small changes you can make in your daily life to make a big difference. You may already practice some of these Green activities. In that case, try to pick ideas new to you, or make your own—one of the goals of this pledge is for each person to try new things.
Pledge commitments are easy and range from double sided printing to educating my friends about sustainable behavior to removing my personal appliances and using shared departmental appliances.
