The new “space” functional area contains just 2 terms – building and room number. The building term definition includes a link to the approved list of building names and unique building numbers. The list is available as an HTML page and a csv file format. Data custodians who need an approved list of building names can download the file.
Coursera is offering an 8-week session on metadata beginning July 14 called Metadata: Organizing and Discovering Information. Increasingly I see formal coursework and degrees offered in data management. I’m taking this course in part to see how the instructor presents information, as I routinely need to present metadata concepts to the uninitiated.
