The Drive for Miracles Radiothon Hits Air Waves Feb. 13 and 14

Radiothon_2014-Cover_ArtJoin us Feb. 13 and 14 for the annual Drive for Miracles Radiothon on 100.5 The Drive!

100.5 The Drive, 13WHAM-TV, and WHAM 1180 are teaming up for the two-day event, next Thursday and Friday, to talk with patients, families, physicians, nurses,  and more and share stories of hope and healing with the community.

Also, join Jennifer Johnson and 13WHAM-TV Friday, Feb. 14, for their special Radiothon coverage from 5 to 9 a.m., 12 to 12:30 p.m., and again from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Dedicated in memory of Jennifer and Vinnie Esposito’s daughter and 2012 Miracle Kid “Amazing Grace,” Friday’s Radiothon proceeds will not only benefit the future Golisano Children’s Hospital building, but will support a special healing garden as well – areas the Esposito family and 13WHAM crew have committed to supporting in honor of Grace. Read more about the Esposito’s courageous story and their plans to honor Grace’s memory in the new hospital building.

The event would not be a continuous success without the support from the Rochester community. Volunteers from a variety of businesses and organizations in the area, including Tops Friendly Markets, Walmart, Abbott’s Frozen Custard, RE/MAX Plus, and more, spend hours manning the phone booths and taking calls from generous donors. Last year’s Radiothon raised $217,000, a record-breaking total!

To make a donation during this year’s Radiothon, call (585) 241-KIDS or donate online now! Thank you for your support!

  1. Kevin Statt says:

My son was diagnosed with a rare subtype of AML leukemia. The doctors and nurses never even showed the slightest pessimism and kicked but to get him to remission. He was in the hospital for over fifty days in a row at one point but his spirits never broke due to the exceptional care and all of the attention showered on him by that wonderful staff. They have all had a hand in saving my buddy’s life.
