The Golisano Children’s Hospital Gala is the hospital’s premier annual fundraising event, where grateful parents, sponsors and local business owners gather under one roof to support children in the Greater Rochester area. More than 750 elegantly dressed guests will fill the Rochester Riverside Convention Center on Oct. 19 for this year’s 26th annual Gala.
As we continue to see great progress at the construction site of our future children’s hospital, it is only fitting that this year’s event has a building blocks theme.
The evening will kick off with a cocktail hour and silent auction at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and a live auction at 8 p.m.
This year’s honorary chair is Gary Mauro of J.T. Mauro Company. J.T. Mauro Co., majority owned by Gary and his brother, Michael, is a mechanical contracting company that has had a great impact on Golisano Children’s Hospital. The business provided complete mechanical systems for the children’s hospital’s PICU and PCICU, as well as the William and Mildred Levine Pediatric Surgical Suite projects. It also funded a PICU nurse’s station, has sponsored the Miracle Maker’s Luncheon since its inception, and Gary has played a role on the Gala and golf tournament committees for many years. Most recently, J.T. Mauro committed $150,000 to name the future Golisano Children’s Hospital’s atrium balcony.
