The Importance of Research for Our Programs

research2Through research, we make the care of tomorrow infinitely better than the care we provide today. Only through research can we learn what works best for a given group of patients, understand what causes disease, and develop safe and effective treatments and preventive measures.

Support we receive for the seven priority programs of our $100 million campaign continues to provide and improve the care our patients need. Focusing on the seven programs also allows us to enhance research and education. It is through pediatric research and clinical studies that we can continue to make these programs ever better.

Clinical research involves scientific and medical investigations in which people are the subjects being studied. To learn more about the importance of these studies, and their various advantages for patients and investigators, visit our pediatric research page.
