So many talented artists came to Rochester to display their work. We were once asked the economic impact of The Fine Craft Show and the M&T Bank Clothesline Festival for the city of Rochester. We must believe the impact is basically priceless. Economically, socially and culturally – and as inspirational. Talking with the visiting artists, one of their most valuable take-aways is the opportunity to engage with their peers.

One not-so-small fact that may be overlooked when surrounded by so many beautiful crafts is that the Fine Craft Show – along with the hugely successful Art & Treasures Sale and even the M&T Bank Clothesline Festival – are all projects supported by the Gallery Council. These functions help to fund Gallery Council endeavors such as underwriting for MAG Exhibits, scholarships to the Creative Workshop, funding for the MAG newsletter, ARTiculate, purchasing art for the MAG, and supporting the docent program. MAG is eternally grateful, and during this season, especially thankful.
