New Resource for K-12 Teachers
Since December 2008, the Charlotte Whitney Allen Library & Teacher Resource Center has offered area K-12 teachers access to ARTstor, a digital library of nearly one million images in the areas of art, architecture, the humanities, and social sciences, with a set of tools to view, present, and manage images for research and pedagogical purposes.
ARTstor’s Museum Educator’s License is designed to help museum educators work with teachers in their communities to integrate the study of museum collections and other ARTstor content into K-12 curricula. To sign up, teachers must visit the Library & Teacher Resource Center during public hours to register and get an orientation to ARTstor. Since December, over 125 teachers have registered.
We’d love to hear how you’re using ARTstor in the classroom! Please share your stories with us.
