Congratulations to the winners!

Congratulations to the 63rd Rochester-Finger Lakes Exhibition artists who won  cash prizes for their work in the show:

Lisa Adamucci, Untitled

Six of the awards were chosen by this year’s jurors—John Spiak, curator, Arizona State University Art Museum, and Phil Alexandre of Alexandre Gallery, New York. The seventh, the Alice E. Koret award, was selected by a Memorial Art Gallery docent.

The eighth and final award, the Harris Popular Vote Award ($500) will be voted by visitors during the first two weeks of the exhibition. Visitors can cast their vote until 5 pm this Sunday, August 7, 2011.

• Memorial Art Gallery Award of Excellence ($1,000): Kim Waale of Cazenovia, Pendulum (oil and collage on paper) pictured above

• Elmer Louis Award, given in memory of Mr. Louis by his family ($600): Marissa Tirone of Spencerport, home: drawing from memory (graphite on paper)

• Louis D’Amanda Memorial Award, given by Louis D’Amanda in memory of his grandfather ($500): Lisa Marie Adamucci of Rochester, Untitled (photograph)

• Gertrude Herdle Moore/Isabel Herdle Award, given by The Gallery Council of the Memorial Art Gallery ($500): ht coogan of Honeoye Falls, ht coogan’s collection of scanned and bound sketchbook pages (spiral-bound archival inkjet prints)

• Harbor Capital Advisory Services Award ($500): Joy Adams of Trumansburg, Over Lovejoy (gouache and pastel collage on paper)

• Oxford Gallery Award ($500): Victor Pacheco of Rochester, Extraction Site (polystyrene, micro-con- troller, servo motor and steel)

• Arena Group Award ($250): Kaitlin Roney-Sigler of Brockport, Mother (cardigraph)

• Alice E. Koret/Docent Award, given in memory of Alice E. Koret by Dr. Sidney Koret, friends and family ($500): Lynne Feldman of Rochester, After the Rain (fabric and acrylic paints on canvas)
