Coming Attractions

Have you wondered about the road construction in front of MAG on University Avenue? It’s all part of the exciting preparations for the ARTWalk Extension Project, which will go even further towards transforming University Avenue and the Neighborhood of the Arts into an interactive outdoor museum.
Big changes are also coming to MAG as planning continues for the Centennial Sculpture Park. The centerpiece of the park—to be located on our campus by the University-Goodman intersection—will be a major sculptural installation by nationally renowned artist Tom Otterness. Stay tuned for developments!
How will this affect visitors to the Clothesline Festival, which takes place this year on September 11 & 12? For the better, we think! Sculpture park preparations have given us the opportunity to streamline the layout for this and future Festivals. The result: improved traffic flow—the better for shoppers and artists alike—without reducing the number of exhibitors. In fact, 400 artists from 32 New York counties have already signed up.
