Foo Dogs, Cranes, Tang Horses and More, Lots More

2014 Art & Treasures  – June 12-15, 2014
By Lois Sumberg, Gallery Council Member

What do cranes, a Japanese symbol of good fortune, Foo dogs, a manifestation of yin and yang, Tang horses, symbols of flight, and an array of other objects have in common? They are just a small part of a large cache of Japanese and Chinese collectibles donated to the Art & Treasures by the heirs to the estate of a well known Rochester businessman, philanthropist and avid art collector. If you admire Asian art and collectibles, this is a great opportunity to add to or start a collection.
